Girl Scouts Project Promotes Awareness for Human Trafficking Fight

Updated: Nov 19, 2020

A local Cadette Girl Scout troop from the Hornet’s Nest Council has been working on their Silver Award the last 8 months by creating a Human Trafficking Prevention and Awareness badge. The Silver Award is the 2nd highest award in Girl Scouting. This badge will be available for all girl scout levels to promote awareness about human trafficking. It has an outreach component and will touch many. The project was completed through involvement with Youth 4 Abolition™, who works diligently every day to bring awareness to youth and all citizens in our community about the fight against modern day slavery. We are so proud of the Cadette’s smart and passionate leadership on this project.
