Pancakes4Freedom

On Saturday, January 9 our Youth4Abolition℠ chapters hosted the 3 rd Annual Pancakes4Freedom event, this year reaching beyond our local geography through the power of a virtual online event. People join from across the country to listen to our passionate youth leaders share their knowledge of human trafficking through strong data content delivered with positive energy in both live comments and recorded video messages. Our live human trafficking expert panel featured law enforcement, social services and clinical psychologists sharing their perspectives and on-the-ground experience working with victims and survivors.

The Youth4Abolition℠ chapters spent a lot of time planning out the breakfast event and rose to the challenge to make this important community awareness opportunity a success. Thank you to those who supported this event through attending or donating to support the mission of peer-to-peer teaching of this important issue. In a 15-year study on the topic of knowledge retention, it was found that peer-to-peer education is an effective tool for educating and promoting a wide range of healthy behaviors.

The power of peer-to-peer education is harnessed in the Youth4Abolition℠ model with our Pancakes4Freedom event demonstrating that in the most poignant way. Donations to support Youth4Abolition℠ are still being accepted through the end of the month at the below link from the event. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pancakes4freedom-2021-donation-tickets-136227123995 Help Y4A to continue our impact and to grow through your financial support. Thank you students for putting together such an impactful event. Way to go Y4A!
