A generation of young people committed to ending human trafficking.
WE ARE OUR MISSION IN ACTION
Our Youth4Abolition℠ organization and our youth-led chapters do more than just talk about Human Trafficking. We are our mission in action. We can measure our success by the number of students reached, the number and diversity of awareness activities (even in our virtual society!) and our consistent growth near and far as an organization.
Below are just a few of the stories that demonstrate how Y4A is making an impact with our students and their friends, their parents and our larger communities. Abolitionists in action!
A PREDATOR'S PLAYGROUND
2020 has been an interesting year, with more of us at home, it means more time online, giving time and space to the more than 75,000 predators online at any one time. Our Y4A clubs may not be meeting in school, but still have the Y4A mission in mind through efforts in our #DontGetPlayed social media campaign.
When you go outside, you are aware of your surroundings and looking out for those creepy white vans or people who stick out. How aware of your surroundings are you when you are online or behind a screen? Do you know who is viewing your posts, who you are battling with in video games or when you’re texting with someone, are you making sure you have met them in real life? It’s a predator’s dream on a virtual playing field. Be aware… Don’t Get Played.
